We are incredibly excited and proud to announce that Cottage Dreams is the beneficiary of this year’s Rock Your Cause™ Headfirst Into Philanthropy Grant, a $10,000 grant which supports programs for youth and adolescent cancer patients. Through visionary leadership and initiatives focused on survivorship, Cottage Dreams will make a huge difference with each dollar YOU raised.

Cottage Dreams is an Ontario-based organization that provides cancer patients and recent survivors and their families the opportunity to spend one week at a cottage. Research has established that natural environments are associated with positive health and well being. The Cottage Dreams experience enhances the successful return to wellness and active participation in the community for the cancer survivor and their family. In providing a cottage, at no cost to the family, Cottage Dreams offers the opportunity for a turning point to move on to emotional, spiritual and physical recovery. This type of healing is often overlooked, though extremely important.

This summer, every time you rock your awesome toques on chilly nights in cottage country, know that you’ve helped provide 20 young cancer patients and their families with the precious opportunity to celebrate life, love and survival. How’s that for dressing responsibly?
